Husband and wife team, Chris Valenti and Amber Mattano, created Catastic Odyssey over the course of nine months in a spare bedroom with a digital workstation and a dream.

Amber has been a cat lover since she got her first cat, Cali, at the age of 14. She is catswithnicefaces' chief lyricist, and strives to give cats and all of our animal friends voices we can all hear. She has honed her cartoon voice for years, and has now found a way to use it for good. She is not a crazy cat lady. Okay, maybe just a little.

Chris was born into a musical family (mom, dad, aunts, uncles, and even Grandma played) and has been playing since he was fourteen. He grew up listening to his mom playing and singing Fleetwood Mac covers, and cites her as his biggest musical inspiration.  While his first love is rock, he is fluent in many styles which can be heard on Catastic Odyssey. He played all the instruments on the album, and is a heck of a cat dad.

Together they are catswithnicefaces. The duo seek to entertain people of all ages with good time tunes that just might make us think about how we treat our animal companions, see the world through their eyes, and consider what we can do better for them.
